12 Days of Thieves Clean

Day 1 – Why Thieves?

Woo-hoo! Today we’re kicking off our 12 days of Thieves – clean home challenge.

It’s the perfect time of year to use Thieves to make simple swaps for all your favorite household cleaning products so you can ditch the toxins for good!

Why Household Cleaners?

You may not realize it – I didn’t when I first started – but everyday cleaners in your home like laundry detergent, bleach, soft scrub, dryer sheets, and even air fresheners contain ingredients that are known carcinogens and linked to asthma, allergies and respiratory issues.

And guess who’s most susceptible? Children… because their bodies are so little they can’t detox all those chemicals as fast as adults.

Plus, the littles are right at eye-level when they’re on the floor with all those cleaners under the sink.

Think about the number for poison control on those cleaners… have you ever had to call?

Have you ever had to put locks on your drawers or cabinets to protect your kids from those cleaners?

Well, you don’t have to do that anymore… your family is too important.

Why Thieves?

You know Thieves is amazing. It’s got rosemary, clove, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus radiata and lemon. It’s great for immune support… and for cleaning.

It’s so GOOD that Young Living created a whole line of cleaning products made with Thieves.

It’s safe, it’s budget-friendly, it smells AMAZING, and best of all no more locks on the cabinets.

You can have the kids HELP you clean because our Thieves products are so clean and natural.

Each day during the clean home challenge, we’re going to show you a cleaner you can swap for good with an awesome Thieves alternative. You won’t believe what you’ll be able to do.

Day 3 – Thieves Glass + Mirror Cleaner

It’s one of my favorite ways to use the Thieves Household Cleaner. A super quick recipe that’s streak free and completely safe! (even if your kiddos like to lick the windows)

How many of you have tried this recipe in your homes?

Day 4: Thieves Dish Soap

Have you tried Thieves Dish Soap yet? You can do so much more than wash dishes in the sink.

1. Jewelry Cleaner

Add just a drizzle of Thieves dish soap to jewelry and gently scrub with fingers or a toothbrush. (Tip: keep your cleaner in a jar and you can re use it)

2. Dishwasher

That’s right, not the sink but the dishwasher! Add 4 to 6 drops of thieves dish soap in the detergent compartment and that is it!

You can add vinegar and lemon essential oil OR Thieves Household Cleaner as a rinse aid.

3. Spot Treatment

Just a drizzle on clothes to pre-treat a stain before washing.

4. Spot Treatment on Carpets

Pretty much the same as #3 and I use a damp washcloth to work the stain out.

5. Dilute to Stretch Your Dollar

Some members dilute their Thieves Dish Soap to stretch it out into 4 bottles. I just use a little less – like a drop or two on a sponge and water to make it sudsy.

Either way, Thieves Dish Soap is a huge value and you can get your kids to wash the dishes without worrying about what chemicals are in the bottle. WIN!

What’s your Thieves Dish Soap hack?

Day 5: Thieves Dishwasher Powder

Have you ever looked at your dishwasher detergent? Notice all the chemicals in there? It’s crazy!

The Thieves Dishwasher Powder combines thieves, lemongrass, and orange essential oils with plant based, naturally derived ingredients, designed to take on those dirty dishes.

Smells amazing and it doesn’t leave spots either! I just rinse my dishes off, and stick them in the dishwasher and let this magic powder take care of my dirty work.

One bag will last about 33-35 washes, provided you use the scoop in the bag.

Got hard water?

Use half a scoop to avoid streaks on glasses (and bonus get double the washes in one bag) + add a dash of salt (about 1 tbsp) in with the Thieves Dishwasher Powder in the powder dispenser.

Put some white vinegar in the rinse aid and BOOM! Cleanest dishes ever!

What’s your Thieves Dishwasher Powder tip?

Day 7: DIY Thieves Wood Cleaner + Wood PolishRemember Pine-Sol?

Yep, I do! I actually used to love the scent of pine on my wood furniture.

But guess what?

They’re not using real pine oil.
The original formulate did but it hasn’t for years… they use artificial fragrance and other chemicals instead.

So just let that sink in… when the kids are walking barefoot on those wooden floors or putting their hands and food on that wooden table… they’re really getting exposed to chemicals.

Um, no thanks!THIS is why we switched over to Thieves.

We wanted to final natural alternatives to clean so that I could feel confidant about my kids walking barefoot on the floor or eating off the kitchen table.

I love️ this DIY Thieves Wood Cleaner. You know Thieves cleans and sanitizes surfaces, while the olive oil helps to condition the wood. The pine oil smells divine too!

DIY Thieves Wood Cleaner

1 gallon water

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup Thieves Household Cleaner

4-6 drops Pine essential oil

You can use this for wooden floors, wooden furniture, wooden tables, and any wooden surface you want to clean.

Day 9: Thieves Laundry Soap

Did you know Thieves Laundry Soap is a concentrate? One bottle is good for about 64 loads on a HE washer – so it packs a big punch in a small bottle (which I love because that means less waste).

Some members like to use it as a concentrate, while others like to dilute it. Let’s talk about the ways you can use Thieves Laundry Soap…

1. Thieves Laundry Soap Concentrate

Use about 1 tbsp (or 1/2 capful) per load of laundry. That’s it. Super easy and one bottle will last forever. I like it this way because it’s easier for me.

2. Thieves Laundry Soap Diluted

You can turn 1 bottle of Thieves Laundry Soap into 3 bottles! Wow! You don’t pay for water with YL products, friends! They’re highly concentrated and still work great when diluted.

-Pour 1/3 of your Thieves Laundry Detergent into a 32 oz shampoo pump bottle.

-Add two caps of Thieves Household Cleaner.

-Add 10-20 drops of Thieves or Lemon.

-Fill to the top with distilled water.

Use 3-4 pumps in each load depending on how much we are washing.

Which one are you? Do you dilute or use the concentrate?

Ugh! I can still remember the scent that would hit my nose and instantly make my eyes water.

I don’t know how she did it.
Now I know that I don’t need chlorine bleach to whiten my clothes and sanitize my home…

I’ve got THIEVES!
