30 Days of Detox

Day 1

Woo-hoo! Who’s ready to start the detox challenge? I’m so excited because after this challenge we are going to feel better, have more energy, get clear skin, get better sleep, and maybe even lose some weight because we’ll be resetting our bodies to get back on track.

So here’s what you need to do for Day 1get your baseline recorded. Why? Because it will be so fun to look back in 7 days and even at the end of this challenge to see where you started.

As of right now, comment below on these stats on these (don’t be shy, we’re ALL doing it):

Water – how much do you drink a day?
Poop – how often do you go? Everyday?
Sleep – how many hours do you get a night?
Sweat – how often do you sweat it out (exercise, sauna, etc.)?
Energy – do you feel tired? When? Is it easy to get out of bed in the morning?
Weight – what’s your starting weight? You might end up losing a few lbs during this challenge

• Half your body weight in oz (add citrus Vitality oils)
3-4 oz NingXia Red a day (add your favorite Vitality oils)
1 tube NingXia Nitro when you feel your energy is low
Essentialzyme before your biggest meal of the day
Sulfurzyme capsules (or add the powder to your NingXia Red with 8-10 oz of water)
ComforTone for if you’re not going #2 every day (use this for 3 weeks daily and then stop)
• Use RutaVaLa, Freedom, Cedarwood and other sleep oils in the diffuser or topically 30 min before going to bed
• Pure Protein Complete, Slique Shake (vegan) or Balance Complete – use one of these meal replacement shakes for breakfast especially if you want energy or want to address your weight. They all have protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals – a great way to start your day.
Slique Essence – if you need help with sugar or carb cravings, add a few drops of Slique Essence to your water. It helps to curb cravings and has a slightly sweet taste to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Epsom salt baths – add 1 cup of epsom salt with 1 tsp carrier oil + essential oils like Lavender or Peace & Calming to a warm bath. Soak for at least 20 min. This helps the body to sweat and get rid of toxins + helps the body to get magnesium.

Exercise (walking, running, weights, yoga, etc.) and sweat at least 3 times a week. My goal is to get 10,000 steps a day no matter what. Use Breathe Again roll-on, Raven or RC rubbed on the chest to help with sweat detoxification.

Sauna – if you have access to one do it 2-3 times a week to help with sweat detoxification. Use RC, Raven, or Breath Again to help the body get rid of toxins.

Day 2

So you’re starting this detox challenge with us… maybe in hopes of losing a little weight, feeling better, and getting back on track. But let’s talk about how regular detoxing can be GOOD for you.

Here are 10 ways that a detox (like this challenge can help you):

1. Remove toxins from the body.

Long-term exposure to toxins (environmental pollutants, cancer-causing chemicals, preservatives, pesticides, heavy metals, and industrial waste) affects our metabolism, behavior, immune system, and leads to disease. They are stored in tissues and cells throughout the body, including the brain, often for years – yikes!

2. Prevent chronic disease.

Environmental toxins are responsible for many cancers, neurological diseases, heart disease, strokes… you name it. Our bodies do have a built-in detox function to deal with these dangers, but those systems are constantly overloaded! Detoxing assists and improves what our bodies are trying to do naturally.

3. Enhance immune system function.

A compromised immune system makes us vulnerable to colds and flus, affecting our quality of life and productivity. Regular detoxing helps strengthen immune system functioning and fights off infection.

4. Lose weight.

Toxins affect the body’s natural ability to burn fat, leading to weight gain. Diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure are directly linked to weight issues. Detoxing rids the body of toxins stored in fat cells and increases metabolism.

5. Slow premature aging.

Detoxing rids the body of free radicals and heavy metals partially responsible for aging. Detoxing helps to increase nutrient absorption, including antioxidants and vitamins that help fight oxidative stress.

6. Improve quality of life.

Simply put, our bodies don’t function very well when they’re loaded with toxins. We may have joint pain, headaches, digestive disorders, sleep problems, and lack of energy. Depression may be eased and memory may be improved as a result of detoxification!

7. Increase energy.

You will have more mental, physical, and emotional energy after detoxing. People tend to sleep better and need less of it.

8. Improve skin quality.

Diet and environmental toxins undeniably affect skin. Detoxing improves acne, and strengthens hair and nails, and gives us a natural, healthy glow.

9. Mental and emotional clarity.

When the body’s systems are aligned, a shift also occurs with our mental and emotional states. We can deal with more when we’re clear and grounded. We can make better decisions, analyze accurately, and see things differently.

10. Restore balance to our body’s systems.

Our digestive, nervous, and hormonal systems were designed to work together to achieve optimum health. This is what our bodies want to do! When we overload them with toxins and unhealthy foods, these systems don’t work as well as they should and we get sick.

Wow! That’s a big list! Um, clear skin, all my body systems working, increased energy, slow down premature aging??? SIGN ME UP! YES!

I know so many of us have taken steps to get rid of toxins in our homes (hello, Thieves line) but we are STILL exposed from driving cars, living in cities, using electronic devices, etc.

There’s no way to completely avoid toxic exposure. So that’s why detoxes like this can help to reset our bodies. I’ve seen it myself with my husband who did a detox and cleanse to reset his body. He’s feeling better now than he did YEARS before.

Day 3

Let’s talk about the benefits of drinking water. Did you know water is key in flushing out toxins and waste from the body? Yep, it flushes toxins and waste from the body and transports nutrients to where they are needed.

Without water the contents of your colon can dry out and get stuck, eventually causing constipation. Water is a natural lubricant that softens stool and promotes .

Our kidney system is unique in its filtering capabilities and totally dependent upon water in order for it to work. The kidneys remove waste products from the blood, eliminate toxic substances in the urine, and receive water-soluble toxins from the liver for processing.

They filter voluminous amounts of blood each day and in doing so maintain the body’s water balance and excrete toxins and excess fluid through the bladder. Water is essential for our bodies to function efficiently.

But here’s the thing… not drinking enough water (dehydration) can result in other health issues too, including:
• Memory loss and brain performance
• Headaches
• Kidney stones
• Decreased metabolism
• Constipation

While we get a lot of water from the foods that we we eat, it is important to drink plenty of water to replenish any that gets used throughout the day. Adults should try to drink half of their body weight in ounces of water per day.

For example, a 120 lb. woman should try to drink 60 oz. of water per day. This number increases if you live in a warm or dry climate.

And if you need another reason to drink more water, there’s a study that shows that drinking a liter (17 oz) of water can increase metabolism by 24-30% for up to 1.5 hours.

Spread your water consumption over the entire day rather than drinking a lot of water in a single sitting. This will help keep you from feeling waterlogged.

If you need help remembering when to drink, set a timer to go off every 90 minutes and drink a full glass or water bottle when the timer goes off.

Don’t like the taste of water? Add Vitality oils to your water. We’ll share some recipes and ideas tomorrow. But start with Lemon Vitality – add a couple of drops to 8-10 oz of water. It’s delicious and the Lemon oil is packed with antioxidants to help the body detoxify.

Day 4

Drinking water is the #1 essential thing you can do to detox your body. But sometimes drinking water all day can be… well boring. So spruce it up with Young Living Vitality oils. It’s a delicious way to flavor your water AND get the antioxidants in the oils.

You already have Lemon and Peppermint in your starter kit. Add some other favorites like Grapefruit (this is my fave), Jade Lemon, Tangerine or Citrus Fresh Vitality oils. Yum!

Some Vitality oils may be too hot to the touch to put in water – like Thieves and Oregano Vitality. But it’s delicious in NingXia Red (more on that later).

Start with 1-2 drops of Vitality oils (citrus oils are a great place to start).

• Spearmint Vitality + spearmint leaves + lemon wedges + cucumbers
• Citrus Fresh Vitality + orange wedges
• Peppermint Vitality + lemon wedges + fresh basil
• Tangerine + Ningxia wolfberries

Day 5

Let’s dive deeper into WHY NingXia Red is soooooooooo special…

Did you know that if you exercise, drink alcohol or feel stressed then that amount needs to be doubled or tripled?

We need 5000 ORAC scale units of bio-available antioxidants daily as a minimum to cope with the average rate of oxidation (aging of cells in our body).

The ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) test, developed by USDA researchers at Tufts University, is one of the most valuable methods for measuring the ability of antioxidants to absorb oxygen radicals.

You would have to eat TWO entire baskets of organic blueberries and half a pound of raisins daily to get the same amount that’s in ONE ounce of NingXia Red.

What?! Yep, NingXia Red is made with WOLFBERRIES… one of the best known superfoods on this planet is the wolfberry. You may be familiar with goji berries. Wolfberries are the same thing. Wolfberries are from China; Goji berries are from India.

Not all wolfberries are created equal! The best source – and the highest on the ORAC scale (25,300 per 100gr) – comes from Ningxia Province in China. Locals there live beyond 110 – 120 years of age, with good health and an active mind and body.

Some have even been reported to have completed a PhD whilst in their 90’s. What?? We’ll take some of what they’re having, thanks!

The Huang He (Yellow) River originates in the Himalayan Mountains and flows through the Ningxia Province.

This river creates a unique, mineral-rich, super fertile silt-water flood plain, like none found elsewhere on earth, producing incomparably potent wolfberries. It is in this floodplain of the NingXia Valley where the wolfberries are highest in antioxidants.

The beautiful Ningxia region is called “China’s herbal medicine valley” and is renowned for meeting all of the stringent rules to be awarded the prestigious “Green Certificate” – the equivalent of the USDA’s Organic Certification.

ORAC Scores of Various Foods

Wolfberry (Fructus Lycii / Lycium / Gou Qi Zi)…..25,300
Yellow Squash…………….1,150
Alfalfa sprouts……………….930
Grapes, Red………………….739
Grapefruit, pink……………..495
Grapes, White……………….460
Beans, Kindey………………460
Peas, Frozen…………………375

Leaf Lettuce…………………265

As you can see, Ningxia Wolfberries are one of the top superfoods for a good reason. Not only are they loaded full of antioxidants and benefit the immune system, they are also effective in helping our bodies stay as healthy as possible.

In addition, many therapeutic-grade Young Living essential oils also score extremely high on the ORAC scale.

Did you know that all of Young Living’s products contain essential oils? Even their nutritional supplements.

Now think about what all those antioxidants can do… they help the body to DETOX. Yep! And load the cells with nutrients to stay strong.

So you can see that NingXia Red is an important part of regular detoxification.

Day 6

Let’s crowdsource our FAVORITE NingXia Red shot recipes! This is an excellent way to both get your NingXia Red each day + Vitality oils (which are loaded with antioxidants) to help the body detox.

Day 7

Let’s do a check-in… how are you feeling?

• Do you have more energy?
• How’s your ?
• How’s your water intake?
• How’s your sleep?
• Are you sweating at least 3-4 times a week (sauna, epsom salt baths, exercise)?
• How are your sugar or food cravings?

The first week may feel like the hardest because we’re making changes to our routine. We used to reach for caffeine or the sugar to kickstart our day. Now we’ve got NingXia Red + Vitality-flavored water… and our supplements to help with.

It’ll start to get easier as you’re getting used to the changes, and your body is detoxifying more efficiently. Remember, sometimes you feel like crud when you’re detoxing. That’s normal and part of the process. But now you’ll start to feel so much better.

Day 8

Are you struggling with energy? Do you usually go for that blended coffee drink to get a boost of energy in the afternoon? Those coffee drinks are loaded with sugar and way too much caffeine – to the point that it overloads your body.

You can get sustained energy with NingXia Red – seriously you’ll feel the difference in just one week. But if you need an extra BOOST you need to try NingXia Nitro.

NingXia Nitro it’s like NingXia Red cousin. It can help provide mental alertness, focus, and a boost of energy… YES! It’s perfect for busy moms who are on the go, anyone with a busy lifestyle, and even athletes who want a boost for performance.

There’s an energy blend in NingXia Nitro that SUPPORTS the body and adrenal glands.

It’s the perfect substitute for those energy drinks and supplements.

NingXia Nitro blends pure essential oils (Peppermint, Spearmint, Black Pepper, and Nutmeg) with naturally powerful ingredients such as d-ribose, green tea extract, and B vitamins.

These ingredients, in addition to a Nitro blend of vanilla, chocolate, wolfberry seed, and yerba mate, provide a lift to one’s mental clarity and focus, while also providing a surge of energy.

Designed to be taken when a boost is needed and with less caffeine than a cup of coffee, Nitro is a perfect option for on-the-go use.

• One pouch is a serving
• It has a berry taste with a hint of chocolate
• It can be taken alone or with other NingXia products

Drink a NingXia Nitro along with 1 oz of NingXia Red. How do you feel? If you really have an energy slump in the afternoon, take Nitro then as well.

Day 9

Who’s ready to talk about ? I have to admit… it’s actually one of my favorite things to talk about when it comes to health. What??! I know, right. But really… our poop tells us so much about our bodies.

We all poop. It’s one of the few reminders we get about our health on a (hopefully) daily basis, and yet most don’t pay much attention to it. But the truth is: if you’re not pooping right, it could be a subtle clue from your body that something is going wrong.

You’re probably spending a lot of time and energy to consume healthy, real food. But are you digesting it well? Are you breaking it down and absorbing all of the nutrients? The quality of your poop is a direct indication of how well your digestive tract is functioning.

If you’re poop isn’t healthy, it could lead to autoimmune issues, chronic inflammatory conditions, compromised immune system, hormones out of whack… and so much more.

There are four keys to a perfect poop. If you’ve ever had one… you know what we’re talking about. But if you’re not sure, take this poop assessment and see where you stack up.

1. Does your poop look like a snake?

The most important part of a healthy poop is the quality, so you need to start looking down and see what’s really going on in the toilet.

A healthy poop is like a sausage or a snake, smooth and soft… and even can have a S-like shape in the toilet. If it’s too hard, it could mean constipation. If it’s too soft or watery, it could be diarrhea.

2. How often are you pooping?

Everyone is different, but the research agrees we should all poop every day. The range of healthy is typically 1-3 times a day, and it can vary day-to-day. Poop is waste and you need to get rid of it every day to make sure that you’re properly removing toxins.

Some people even have bowel movements every time they eat. I’ve heard late Young Living founder Gary Young himself say that we should be pooping every day – ideally after each meal.

If you find yourself pooping a couple times a week, you’re probably constipated. If you’re going 5+ times a day, you’re on the diarrhea side of things. Both could pose serious health risks over the long term.

3. How easy is it to poop?

It’s so normal in our culture to take a newspaper to the bathroom and spend 30 minutes in there battling it out with your poop. But the reality is a healthy poop should only take but a few minutes.

It should be easy. Pushing typically leads to hemorrhoids, which are all too common today.

Normal poop strikes a balance between not having to push or strain, but also not having so much urgency you can barely hold it. If you’re spending 10+ minutes on the toilet or running to make it just in time, you’re not having healthy bowel movements.

4. Did you get it all out?

For some people this is a non-issue… but part of a healthy poop is having what’s called “full evacuation.” Are you getting all your poop out when you sit down?

Do you have to keep coming back over and over again? Or do you feel like there’s always something left behind making you feel uncomfortable?

If your poop isn’t normal based on the above, we know your digestive health isn’t what it should be. So, here’s a few tips to improve your digestive health and get closer to perfect poops.

1. Avoid Trigger Foods

Avoid dairy, nuts/nut flours, eggs, and too much fruit/honey… gluten is actually a trigger food for me too. See how you feel and what your poop looks like after you’ve eliminated these foods for a week.

2. Eat Good Bugs

Our gut has a TON of bacteria, and a healthy gut flora is critical for healthy poop.Consume good bugs every single day. Start with foods like sauerkraut, kimchi or water kefir and see how well you tolerate them.

A high quality probiotic, like Life 9, is one supplement that can also boost the immune system in the gut and improve digestive health.

3. Eat More Fat (And Take Digestive Enzymes)

Fat has a direct impact on peristalsis… the waves our bodies make to get rid of poop. Fat can be extremely helpful for people who are constipated. Increase your healthy fats from sources like coconut oil, animal fat, olive oil, and fermented cod liver oil.

However, increasing healthy fats can sometimes make diarrhea worse, so start out with a good digestive enzyme, like Essentialzyme (we’ll talk more about it tomorrow).

Day 10

Essentialzymes-4 is a multi-spectrum enzyme complex specially formulated to aid the critically needed digestion of dietary fats, proteins, fiber, and carbohydrates commonly found in the modern processed diet. In other words… it helps you.

The dual time-release technology releases the animal- and plant-based enzymes at separate times within the digestive tract, allowing for optimal nutrient absorption.

The YELLOW capsule contains these ingredients:

Protease 3, 4.5 and 6 helps digest and utilize protein. It also supports the healthy function of the digestive, circulatory, and immune systems.

Amylase Enzymes – promotes the digestion of starches—something that is very important if you consume the typical American diet.

Cellulase enzyme – assists with the breakdown of cellulose, an insoluble plant carbohydrate, converting it to beta-glucose.

Because beta-glucose is released more slowly than regular glucose, it provides a more sustainable energy source for your body and decreases the rapid rise in blood sugar typically seen after ingesting simple sugars.

Lipase Enzyme– aids in the digestion of fats, or lipids, and increases the nutritional value of healthy fats that you ingest by promoting the digestion and absorption of essential fatty acids.
Peptidase Enzyme– helps break down peptides into their component amino acids.

Phytase Enzyme – has the ability to release phosphate and other essential minerals from a plant compound called phytic acid. This action may support your body’s ability to absorb and utilize vital minerals.

Bromelain Enzyme – breaks down a wide variety of protein types and is derived from the fruit and stem of pineapples. This remarkable enzyme not only supports the digestion and absorption of proteins, but research also suggests that it supports a normal inflammatory response.*

Papain – aids in the digestion of proteins. Because papain is very effective at breaking down protein fibers, it is widely used in South America as a digestive aid following the consumption of meat.

Fennel Essential Oil – Stimulating to the circulatory, glandular, respiratory, and digestive systems. May support feelings of well-being during monthly cycle.

Tarragon Essential Oil – Supports to a healthy digestive system.

Rosemary Essential Oil – Supports a healthy lifestyle regimen and overall well-being.

Ginger Essential Oil – Supports the digestive system and is used to soothe, comfort, and balance digestive discomfort.

Anise fruit – Supports a healthy digestive system.

The WHITE capsule contains these ingredients:

Bee Pollen Powder – Benefits may include supporting of a healthy immune system

Pancreatin 10x – is a full spectrum enzyme supports the digestion of proteins that contain proteases, amylases and lipases.

Lipase Enzyme

Lemongrass Essential Oil – Supports overall well-being and may support the digestive system.

Fennel Essential Oil
Tarragon Essential Oil
Ginger Essential Oil
Anise fruit

Check out what happens when Essentialzymes-4 is mixed with oatmeal! (you can scroll to minute two) —>

Be sure to check out this video by Dr. Lindsey Elmore on the difference between Essentialzyme, Essentialzymes-4, Detoxzyme, and Allerzyme! –

Take two capsules (one dual dose blister pack) two times daily with largest meals (four capsules total). Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition, consult a health professional prior to use.

Day 11

Sulfurzyme is a supplement that combines wolfberry with MSM, a naturally occurring organic form of dietary sulfur needed by our bodies every day to maintain the structure of proteins, protect cells and cell membranes, replenish the connections between cells, and preserve the molecular framework of connective tissue.

MSM also supports the immune system, the liver, circulation, and proper intestinal function and works to scavenge free radicals… and it helps you .

Sulfurzyme is LOADED with nutrients that will BLOW your mind…and your hair, skin and nails will thank you! I’m totally serious. It’s one of my MUST-HAVE supplements.

Sulfurzyme combines wolfberry with MSM, a naturally occurring organic form of dietary sulfur (this is NOT the sulfur in sulfa drugs…TOTALLY different!) Sulfur is needed by our bodies every day to maintain the structure of proteins, protect cells and cell membranes, replenish the connections between cells, and preserve the molecular framework of connective tissue.

MSM also supports the immune system, the liver, circulation, and proper intestinal function and works to scavenge free radicals.

Wolfberries contain minerals and coenzymes that support the assimilation ( the absorption and digestion of food or nutrients by the body) and metabolism of sulfur. Wolfberry is added to promote the absorption of sulfur.

The body uses MSM to continually create new healthy cells to replace old ones!!!!! The body uses vitamins and amino acids with MSM in this process. If the body isn’t receiving proper nutrition including MSM, the body will instead produce weak dysfunctional cells.

MSM is responsible for:

• Dehydration and detoxification. Sulfur is needed to maintain cell membrane permeability. Cell permeability is how our essential oils work! This is important to ensure that nutrients are delivered into the cell and toxins and waste products can exit the cell.

Energy. Sulfur is a component of insulin, the VERY important hormone that regulates the uptake of glucose by cells for us as energy.

Sulfur is also needed for thiamine and biotin which are also needed for normal carbohydrate metabolism. Think about what a sulfur deficiency does to your metabolism and weight! Yikes!

Structure and Function. Sulfur is a required element found in the proteins of most body tissues: skin, blood vessels, organ, hair and nails.

Deficient in Sulfur? Google “Signs of Sulfur Deficiency” – the FDA keeps me from sharing all of that.

Sulfurzyme is also available in powder form. Use it to make the Red Drink:

Take 2 capsules 2 times a day or as needed one hour before or after meals.

Day 12

Does your digestive system need a little “pep talk” on occasion? How about when you are traveling or change your diet? I am NEVER without this one when I am traveling – it is a life saver!

ComforTone (capsules) is an effective combination of herbs and essential oils that support the health of the digestive system by eliminating residues from the colon and enhancing its natural ability to function optimally.

Because it supports normal peristalsis (the wave-like contractions that move food through the intestines), ComforTone is ideal for strengthening the system that delivers nutrients to the rest of the body.* It also contains ingredients that are beneficial to liver, gall bladder, and stomach health.

There are several natural ingredients as well as eight essential oils in ComforTone.
The natural ingredients include:

Cascara Sagrada Powder Bark (Frangula purshiana) – Helps to supports normal peristalsis (moves food through the colon) and aid in elimination*.

Psyllium Seed Husks Powder (Plantago ovata) – Is a gentle form of ground psyllium that expands when mixed with water. It supports the digestive system by providing fiber*.

Barberry Bark (Berberis vulgaris) – Supports healthy digestion and healthy liver function*.

Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) – Traditionally use for liver cleansing, supports healthy liver function*.

Garlic Bulb (Allium sativum) – Supports healthy digestion, it also may support a healthy immune system*.

Echinacea Root (E. purpurea) – Supports healthy immune system*.

Bentonite – An intestinal cleansing agent*.

Diatomaceous Earth – An intestinal cleansing agent*.

Ginger root (Zingiber officinale) – is supportive to a healthy digestive system*.

Chamomile Flower Extract (Matricaria recutita) – Soothes and calms.

Apple pectin (Malus pumila) – Supports healthy digestive function*.

Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – Supports healthy endocrine and digestive systems*.

Cayenne Pepper Fruit (Capsicum annuum) – May support healthy digestion*.

Silica – Valuable trace mineral important to promoting healthy hair, nails and bones*.

Trace Minerals

Take 1 capsule 3 times daily. Drink at least 64 ounces of distilled water throughout the day for best results.

Day 13

Let’s do a week 2 check-in… how are you feeling?

• Do you have more energy?
• How’s your ?
• How’s your water intake?
• How’s your sleep?
• Are you sweating at least 3-4 times a week (sauna, epsom salt baths, exercise)?
• How are your sugar or food cravings?

Now let’s talk healthy eating + meal planning… here are some tips

Make a list of things you can cook at the beginning of the week and enjoy multiple times during the week. Soups, chili, grilled chicken breast, and sauteed veggies are examples of foods that can be made in larger amounts and spread out throughout the week.

Store healthy foods in clear containers on the top shelf of the fridge and at the front of your pantry. This is a mental trick.

Prepare your snacks in advance to make them easy to grab and go. If you have a snack on hand, you are less likely to turn to something sugary and processed that will make you feel sluggish while hindering your new healthy habits.

When focusing on your diet, one of my favorite tricks is to swap out unhealthy ingredients for healthy ones. Here are a few easy swaps:

>> DITCH Spaghetti & SWITCH to zucchini noodles
>> DITCH chips and crackers & SWITCH to fresh-cut veggies and hummus
>> DITCH soda & SWITCH to sparkling water or tea (hot or cold)
>> DITCH sugary breakfast & SWITCH to overnight oats or hard boiled eggs and side of fruit

Day 15

Do you sometimes find yourself not sure what to eat? Not full after eating? Or, are you trying to make sure you are eating enough times per day?

YL meal replacement shakes to the rescue!

I use these all the time when I am on the go, trying to cleanse my body several times a year, or when I know good nutrition is needed – which is daily!

Post-Workout Recovery – PURE PROTEIN COMPLETE

Muscle protein synthesis, the process of repairing and rebuilding muscle fibers, uses amino acids from protein to encourage healthy recovery and muscular growth.

Not getting enough protein immediately after your workout is one of the biggest workout mistakes you can make.

A protein shake post-workout is a great way to get the 20-30 grams of protein that is recommended by professionals. Protein powder is an isolated nutrient source, so it provides a lot of nutrition for relatively few calories. It is also a fast and easy option when you are on the go.

It is important to go with a high-quality protein and not just any ol’ protein shake.

Pure Protein Complete™ provides 25 grams of protein and a full range of amino acids to help your post-workout muscle recovery.

Mix your choice of Pure Protein Complete—in Chocolate Deluxe or Vanilla Spice flavor—with water or the milk of your choice and drink it within 45 minutes of your workout.

Meal replacement shake – BALANCE COMPLETE

Balance complete helps start your day off right. Can you say that your breakfast gives you 41% of your daily calcium, 11.5 g of protein, and 29% of your Vitamin A, C and D? Oh and 44% of your daily fiber just to name a few? I didn’t think so.

The directions are to add 2 scoops to water, almond milk, whatever liquid you want.

Balance Complete is a super-food-based meal replacement that is both a powerful nutritive energizer and a cleanser.

Offering the benefits of Ningxia wolfberry powder, brown rice bran, barley grass, extra virgin coconut oil, aloe vera, cinnamon powder, and our premium whey protein blend, Balance Complete is high in fiber, high in protein, and contains the good fats, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals needed for a nutritionally dynamic meal.

Balance Complete also features Young Living’s proprietary V-Fiber blend, which supplies an amazing 11 grams of fiber per serving, absorbs toxins, and satisfies the appetite while balancing the body’s essential requirements.

This is a great one to use as a meal replacement for a short period, or long term. It has a mild flavor and is the perfect base for the smoothie mix-ins of your choice!

Weight management shake – SLIQUE SHAKE

I absolutely LOVE the Slique Shake from Young Living. A container comes with 15 individual packets and you simply put the contents into a blender, add either almond milk or water (I often do half of each), some ice (if desired…I prefer it with ice) and blend away.

It’s flavor is called Berry Breeze and I would describe it as a berry-vanilla taste (it is yum!).

Day 16

Yep, you can detox at a pretty rapid rate just by sweating it out. Ideally, you would be having workout-induced sweat sessions 4-5 times a week. It is also important that you shower right after to get those toxins OFF your body.

The fact is, sweating is one of the best ways to remove toxins from our body and medical research can actually explain how this happens.

We live in a world where industrial toxins have become so prevalent that none of us are free of exposure. In fact, the umbilical cord blood of a newborn baby can be sampled and will reveal an average of over 200 synthetic chemicals, some of them with carcinogenic potential.

Heavy metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium and arsenic are abundant in our environment and endocrine disruptors such as phthalates and bisphenol A can be found in our blood and urine.

What does the science say about removing these risks to our health through our sweat pores?

Sweating can help eliminate phthalates.

Phthalates are used in plastic toys, cooking utensils, fragrances, nail polish, cosmetics and paints. Researchers in Canada examined blood, urine and sweat concentrations of various phthalates in 20 people.

They found that the concentration of these chemicals was twice as high in sweat as in urine and suggested that perspiration may help eliminate of some toxic compounds.

Sweating can help eliminate BPA.

(BPA) is widely used to make clear plastics but is also used in cash register receipts, water pipes, electronics, and eyeglass lenses.

This compound has been known for years to have estrogenic properties and exposure to it has been linked to obesity, early puberty, sexual dysfunction, miscarriage. Sweat was the best way to excrete stored bisphenol A.

Sweating can help eliminate heavy metals.

The heavy metals arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury are confirmed or suspected carcinogens and are toxic in all sorts of ways to your body.

They are known to harm the heart, brain, kidney, and immunological systems. Heavy metals are present in water, food, dental amalgams, cigarettes, and industrial emissions.

Studies show sweat can concentrate arsenic up to 10 times more than blood, cadmium up to 25 times more than blood, lead up to 300 times more than blood, and mercury somewhat more than blood, leading to effective elimination. Crazy right??

Sweating has been considered a therapy since the Roman baths, Aboriginal sweat lodges, Scandinavian saunas, and Turkish baths. Cool right???

Recently, infrared saunas have become available that are cooler than other saunas but penetrate the skin deeper to promote sweating and toxin excretion.

Go sweat it out!

Day 17

Increased movement when we exercise stimulates our bodies. It flushes out our lungs and helps food pass through our gut quicker while also opening up the sweat glands and cleansing the skin through perspiration.

Exercising promotes circulation of blood and lymph, a clear fluid containing white blood cells that flows through our bodies, therefore allowing organs such as the lymph nodes and liver to cleanse those bodily fluids.

Exercise even kickstarts the kidneys’ job when you hydrate with water. Drinking plenty of water before, during and after an exercise routine will help the body detox more efficiently because the liquid will allow the kidneys to filter toxins easily. Plus you’ll sweat more.

Digestion is also improved with exercise. And with a healthy digestive system, the body experiences less indigestion, constipation and gas, which in turn allows for better waste removal.

Yoga poses especially are thought to help promote blood flow to the bowels and strengthen the intestines. It all goes hand-in-hand.

The hardest part about committing to this kind of cleanse is actually getting the motivation to exercise. Work, school, family and other responsibilities can often lead to little free time for relaxing, let along squeezing in a trip to the gym.

But exercising doesn’t have to be a chore! It’s all about finding the kind of activity that you enjoy and can easily fit into your lifestyle.

Almost any form of aerobic exercise–the kind that gets your heart pumping and your breathing going–will help your body cleanse itself.

At least 30 minutes of the following activities a few times a week is ideal, so don’t overdo it! It’s important to allow your body at least one or two days worth of rest.

If you already exercise, then make sure you are consistent and get in some cardio training along with your preferred workout routine.

Running, jump roping, walking, dancing, swimming, bicycling and jumping on a trampoline.

Martial arts and kickboxing.

Yoga and pilates.

Doing exercises that target your body’s core are especially beneficial for detoxing because that’s where the vital eliminating organs such as the colon, kidneys and liver are located.

Doing crunches and abdominal twists, for example, will stimulate those organs and help waste past through the large and small intestines quicker.

Of course, simply exercising won’t cleanse your body entirely. It’s important to follow a healthful, balanced diet rich in vegetables, fruits, nuts and whole grains to experience the full benefits that exercising and detoxification have to offer.

Day 18

EO’s for Exercise

My essential oil secret is to use your oils to help you get motivated, energized, and get ‘er done!

Plus, getting in 30 minutes of exercise a day will also help you feel a lot less guilty when you eat that slice of pie or holiday treat at the dessert table.

I use these two oils from the vitality line in my water or with a wellness tea to help wake me up, feel energized, and get my body moving!

Peppermint Vitality

Lemon Vitality

These other three oils are perfect for before, during, or after your exercise:

PanAway is most commonly used for achy joints and muscles. My secret weapon tip I didn’t learn until way after getting my kit is that PanAway diffused is REALLY calming.

If you are a nighttime workout person, diffusing this or applying it to your skin can help calm those nerves post-workout and get you ready for bed.

Raven is a blend of different Eucalyptus oils and some other oils that are beneficial when diffused or applied to your chest. Have you ever been in a Eucalyptus steam room?

If so, then you can imagine feeling like that any time you want every day just by pulling out your Raven oil. RC is also PERFECT to use in the same way!

Breathe again roll-on is convenient, simple to use, and smells amazing! I love it on my chest and across the back of my neck before a workout, during seasonal weather/air changes, I roll it along the outside of my nose.

I roll it on my kids’ necks and chests before bed to help them breathe easy while they sleep. Breathe Again blesses us EVERY day!!!! Combining four powerful varieties of eucalyptus essential oils, plus Laurus nobilis, Rose hip, Peppermint, Copaiba, Blue Cypress, and Myrtle essential oils, Breathe Again Roll-On has an invigorating and awakening aroma. Perfect for travel, gym bag, or in the car!

Day 19

Essential Oils for ENERGY!

En-R-Gee is my very favorite oil to use before a daily workout or athletic performance event. Or, anytime I need a boost!!!! It smells like black pepper and rosemary but the energy boost is work the strong aroma!

I LOVE to apply it on my wrists and my big toe while I prep for the workout. Your big toe is the vitaflex point for brain function so it helps give you a cognitive boost as well – perfect for Monday mornings too.

En-R-Gee essential oil blend revitalizes with a blend of stimulating oils that have been used traditionally to help restore mental alertness.

Uplifting and strengthening as the name suggests, it boosts energy. It’s made with Rosemary, Juniper, Lemongrass, Nutmeg, Idaho Balsam Fir, Clove, and Black Pepper essential oils. All I know is that my marathon times have been much faster thanks to this little oil!

Total adrenal support and booster for all moms….and people in general!! The vitality version is awesome under your tongue or in a capsule – “this blend amplifies metabolism and vitality and create hormonal balance”.

It contains: spearmint which is great for supporting the nervous and glandular system. Can be helpful for increasing metabolism.

Sage: can help with energy to vita organs and for emotional support against negative emotions.

Geranium: can help to balance hormones.

Myrtle: can help normalize hormonal balance of the thyroid and ovaries.

German chamomile: great for the liver and

…..And nutmeg which supports the adrenal glands, increase energy and is very stimulating for those who need more in their life.

This oil is great to be applied to the lower back, kidney, liver, feet, glandular and foot vita flex. It is one that comes in the vitality line to so you can take it in a capsule or in your ningixia red.

BUT, when we speak about supporting specific body systems we are always referring to the vitality oil which can be taken internally.

Learn more here about WHY we all need it!!!!

Day 20

Let’s do a week 3 check-in… how are you feeling?

Do you have more energy?
• How’s your?
• How’s your water intake?
• How’s your sleep?
• Are you sweating at least 3-4 times a week (sauna, epsom salt baths, exercise)?
• How are your sugar or food cravings?

Now let’s talk exercise and why it’s SO IMPORTANT to make the time to be active every day…

Most excuses for not working out have something to do with “not having enough time.” One easy way to remove this excuse from your vocabulary is to plan for your workouts ahead of time.

Plan your workout time the day before and keep it sacred.

Tell people you are planning to work out a certain number of times a week so that they can help hold you accountable. Or better yet, invite a friend to join you so you can hold each other accountable and have FUN exercising together.

Pack a gym bag and keep it in your car so that you can stop at the gym or a fitness class while you are out and about.

PRO TIP: Apply a few drops of diluted PanAway to soothe muscles after your workout AND take the supplement AminoWise. Both help with muscle fatigue and will prevent you from saying… “My muscles are too tired to workout.”

AminoWise in particular aids in muscle building and repair – and helps to replace minerals lost during exercise.

Day 21

Epsom salt looks similar to table salt, but it’s a completely different compound. Epsom salt is made of both magnesium and sulfate, whereas table salt is sodium.

Epsom salt has reportedly been used for over 400 years, ever since an English farmer discovered that the “bitter water” in his wells had remarkable healing properties on skin rashes and injuries. Read on to learn about the benefits of Epsom salt and how to use it in a bath.

In water, it breaks down into magnesium and sulfate. The theory is that when you soak in an Epsom salt bath, these get into your body through your skin. That hasn’t been proven, but just soaking in warm water can help relax muscles and loosen stiff joints.

Just google epsom salt benefits and I can assure you that you will be amazed!

PRO TIP: Add 8-10 drops of essential oils to your epsom salts for a comforting bath. I love PanAway after a hard workout or a long day on my feet. Lavender is wonderful before bedtime. I also use RC regularly with my kids or when someone in our home needs to breath freely.

Day 22

Giving yourself a good night’s rest is one of the best ways to detox your body and reset. Sleep has been connected to weight loss, reduced cortisol levels and stress, and improved overall health.

The best part about sleep is that it takes absolutely no effort—just make sure the temperature of your room is cool, and give yourself a 10-hour block to snooze. Regularly, 7-8 hours okay for most people but an occasional 10 hour snooze will help reset your body!

So let’s get totally real, do you actually sleep 10 hours ever? I admit I can when given the chance.

It’s important to get sufficient rest and relaxation during your detox, as more toxins than usual are being processed and eliminated, you could feel somewhat crabby and fatigued especially in the beginning. Ugh!

You may find that you need more rest than you normally do. Listen to your body – resting and sleep make fewer demands on your body’s resources while your various systems are being tasked. Thus more of your energy can be applied to physical renewal. Seems simple, right?

A good night’s sleep is fundamental to good health because your cells repair themselves more rapidly at nighttime.

During your hours of deep sleep, the body produces higher levels of human growth hormone (HGH), which helps with cellular renewal. During the detox, this is so critical!

So, sleep on everyone!!!

Day 24

Okay so we know sleep is so important but so many of us STRUGGLE with it, so let’s talk essential oils and YL products for sleep.

Lavender + Cedarwood = this duo is fantastic to help with sleep.
Peace & Calming + Pine = it’s like sleeping in the mountains
Frankincense + Lavender + Vetiver = perfect if your brain is still going 100 miles/hour right before bed
Lavender + Peace & Calming = duo from the new premium starter kit that’s SO GOOD for getting quality sleep

RutaVaLa – a blend made with rue, valerian and lavender. It’s like Sleep Essence supplement in a roller bottle. It’s really the magic blend to get some quality sleep. It’s my husband’s FAVORITE.

The only way to get this blend is in the roller collection… which is amazing because you get another blend that’s good for sleep…

Tranquil – a blend made with lavender, cedarwood and Roman chamomile (which is out of stock) but you can get it in this blend. I LOVE this one to chill out at the end of the day to get ready for relaxation and sleep. It’s great for kids too.

SleepyIze – Sleepyize is like the kid version of RutVaLa. It’s made with Lavender, Geranium, Roman Chamomile, a Tangerine, Bergamot, Sacred Frankincense, Valerian, and Rue already diluted in a roll-on just for kids.

I rolled it on the back of my son’s neck and bottom of his feet. He’s notorious for taking up to an hour to go to bed. After I applied this and we did our bedtime routine, he was out in less than 10 minutes!

SleepEssence is a gel capsule made with Lavender, Vetiver, Valerian, Tangerine and Rue essential oils, as well as Melatonin, which is responsible for regulating the sleep cycle, is a powerful antioxidant and well known natural sleep aid.

Its unique sleep-enhancing properties are in an easy-to-take softgel vegetarian capsule for easy ingestion. THIS is what converted my husband years ago to YL. He had trouble with sleep and this was his saving grace.

ImmuPro is a chewable tablet specially formulated to provide exceptional immune system support when combined with a healthy lifestyle and adequate sleep to support the body’s needs.

It’s got melatonin to help with sleep, and reishi/maitake mushrooms, zinc, and NingXia wolfberries to boost the immune system. So this is the perfect supplement when you’re not in your time zone and need to catch some .

Day 25

Who needs some extra help when it comes to sleep?Remember sleep is VITAL to your body’s natural detoxification. Your brain cells actually work hard on detoxing your body when sleeping… so if you cut short on your sleep you’re inhibiting the detox process.

So what healthy habit can you adopt to get BETTER SLEEP? Follow these ideas…

1. Put a diffuser next to your bed that goes for at least 8 hours like the Rainstone or Desert Mist diffuser and add oils like Lavender, Cedarwood, and Peace & Calming. Use RutaVaLa or Tranquil roll-on too. Check out the post for Day 24 for specific oils and supplements that can help with sleep.

2. Sleep in complete darkness, or as close to it as possible — Even the tiniest bit of light in the room, such as that from a clock radio LCD screen, can disrupt your internal clock and your production of melatonin and serotonin, thereby interfering with your sleep (and raising your risk of cancer).

So, close your bedroom door, get rid of night-lights, cover any LCD screens and your windows. I recommend using blackout shades or drapes.

A far less expensive alternative is to use a well-fitting sleep mask. Instead of a lighted alarm clock, use a talking alarm clock, designed for the visually impaired, that audibly tells the time by pressing a large button.

Also refrain from turning on any light at all during the night, even when getting up to go to the bathroom. If you absolutely have to have some sort of night light, use a red bulb.

3. Keep the temperature in your bedroom no higher than 70 degrees F. — Studies show the optimal room temperature for sleep is between 60 to 68 degrees F.

Keeping your room cooler or hotter can lead to restless sleep. When you sleep, your body’s internal temperature drops to its lowest level, generally about four hours after you fall asleep.

Scientists believe a cooler bedroom may therefore be most conducive to sleep, since it mimics your body’s natural temperature drop.

4. Eliminate electric and electromagnetic fields (EMFs) in your bedroom — These can disrupt your pineal gland’s production of melatonin and serotonin, and are a significant contributor to mitochondrial damage and dysfunction, which is at the heart of virtually all chronic disease.

EMF exposure has also been linked to neuronal changes that affect memory and your ability to learn. EMFs harm your body’s mitochondria by producing excessive oxidative damage, so sleeping in EMFs all night, every night, can cause or contribute to virtually any chronic ailment, including premature aging.

Ideally, shut down the electricity to your bedroom by pulling your circuit breaker before bed. If you have neighbors on the other side of the wall, floor or ceiling, consider installing a Faraday cage (copper- and/or silver-threaded fabric) around your bed.

If you live in a high-rise and have neighbors beneath you, place the Faraday fabric on the floor beneath your bed as well. This may significantly improve your sleep quality.

Another really important step is to turn off your Wi-Fi at night. It would be best to hard wire your home so you have no Wi-Fi 24/7 in your home, but I realize many are unwilling or unable to take this step.

It’s important to realize that the Wi-Fi in your home is nearly always more of a danger to you than what’s coming from outside your home.

You can confirm this by measuring the microwave signals with a meter, and see what your exposure is. The fact is, you don’t need Wi-Fi while sleeping, so this is a wholly unnecessary exposure that is easily remedied by turning it off.

5. Move alarm clocks and other electrical devices away from your bed, and avoid using loud alarm clocks — If these devices must be used, keep them as far away from your bed as possible, preferably at least 3 feet. Keep your cellphone as far away from your bedroom as possible if it must be on.

If you keep it in your bedroom, either shut it down or put it in airplane mode. Or even better use a battery powered alarm clock that talks so there is no electricity or light.

6. Reserve your bed for sleeping — If you are used to watching TV or doing work in bed, you may find it harder to relax and drift off to sleep, so avoid doing these activities in bed.

7. Get to bed as early as possible, ideally between 9 and 10 p.m. — Your body (particularly your adrenal system) does a majority of its recharging between the hours of 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. In addition, your gallbladder dumps toxins during this same period.

If you are awake, the toxins back up into your liver, which can further disrupt your health. Prior to the widespread use of electricity, people would go to bed shortly after sundown, as most animals do, and which nature intended for humans as well.

8. Maintain a consistent bedtime — Go to bed and wake up at the same times each day, even on the weekends. This will help your body to get into a sleep rhythm and make it easier to fall asleep and get up in the morning.

9. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine — This could include meditation, deep breathing, using your diffuser with essential oils or indulging in a massage from your partner. The key is to find something that makes you feel relaxed, then repeat it each night to help you release the tensions of the day.

10. Avoid drinking fluids within two hours of going to bed — This will reduce the likelihood of needing to get up and go to the bathroom, or at least minimize the frequency.

11. Go to the bathroom right before bed — This will reduce the chances that you’ll wake up to go in the middle of the night.

12. Avoid eating at least three hours before bedtime, particularly grains and sugars — These will raise your blood sugar, delay sleep and raise your risk of acid reflux. Later, when blood sugar drops too low (hypoglycemia), you may wake up and be unable to fall back to sleep.

Aside from that, eating too close to bedtime can harm your health in other ways. If you consume more calories than your body can immediately use, there will be an excess of free electrons, which back up inside your mitochondria.

These electrons are highly reactive and start to leak out of the electron transport chain in the mitochondria. These excess electrons wind up prematurely killing the mitochondria, and then wreak further havoc by damaging your cell membranes and contributing to DNA mutations.

There’s compelling evidence to suggest this type of mitochondrial dysfunction is one of the keys to accelerated aging.

13. Minimize use of electronics, both during the day and in the evening — Electronic screens are major sleep thieves, robbing you of the ability to fall asleep quickly.

Research has shown that the more time you spend on electronic devices during the day, and especially at night, the longer it takes to fall asleep and the less sleep you get overall.

If you must use electronic screen devices late into the evening, use the night display on your device or get blue-blocker glasses.

14. Do some controlled breathing exercises — Breathing is both an involuntary and a voluntary process. You can alter the speed and the depth of your breathing, and you can choose to breathe through your mouth or your nose.

These choices lead to physical changes in your body. Slow, deep and steady breathing activates your parasympathetic response while rapid, shallow breathing activates your sympathetic response, involved in releasing cortisol and other stress hormones.

15. Take a hot bath or shower before bed — When your body temperature is raised in the late evening, it will fall at bedtime, facilitating slumber. The temperature drop from getting out of the bath signals your body it’s time for bed.

It will also help if you finish your shower with a cold rinse. Use epsom salts and some Lavender and you’ll feel so relaxed and ready for bed.

16. Wear socks to bed — Feet often feel cold before the rest of the body because they have the poorest circulation.

17. Wear an eye mask to block out light — As discussed earlier, it is important to sleep in as close to complete darkness as possible.

That said, it’s not always easy to block out every stream of light using curtains, blinds or drapes, particularly if you live in an urban area (or if your spouse has a different schedule than you do). In these cases, an eye mask can be helpful.

18. Put your work away at least one hour before bed (preferably two hours or more) — This will give your mind a chance to unwind so you can go to sleep feeling calm, not hyped up or anxious about tomorrow’s deadlines.

19. Avoid watching TV right before bed — Even better, get the TV out of the bedroom or even completely out of the house. It’s too stimulating to the brain, preventing you from falling asleep quickly.

TV disrupts your pineal gland function. If you do watch TV, be sure to use blue light-blocking glasses after sunset as this will help maximize melatonin production.

20. Listen to relaxation CDs — Some people find the sound of white noise or nature sounds, such as the ocean or forest, to be soothing for sleep.

Day 26

Did you know that a vitamin or mineral deficiency in your body could be affecting your sleep? That’s why it’s so important you take your supplements regularly.

Here are 5 vitamins and minerals you need for healthy sleep…

1. Vitamin D

The ‘sunshine vitamin’ is thought to influence both sleep quality and quantity, and studies have shown that Vitamin D deficiency is associated with less sleep overall and also, with more disrupted sleep. While the majority of our vitamin D is made through exposing the skin to sunlight, small quantities can be found in oily fish, egg yolks and fortified foods.

YL Supplements with Vitamin D

Master Formula – complete vitamin + mineral supplement with everything you need – prebiotic, antioxidants, and food-based nutriment… and 100% of the vitamin D you need for the day

2. Iron

Being iron deficient can lead to restless leg syndrome, where people feel they constantly have to move their legs when they go to bed, making it hard to fall asleep. Iron-deficient women tend to have more problems sleeping.

Iron-rich foods include liver, nuts, dark chocolate, beef, lamb, beans, whole grains, and dark leafy green vegetables, or you can buy iron tablets.

YL Supplement with Iron

Master Formula – complete vitamin + mineral supplement with everything you need – prebiotic, antioxidants, and food-based nutriment… and 60% of the iron you need for the day

3. Calcium

As well as strengthening bones and teeth, calcium helps the brain use the amino acid tryptophan to manufacture melatonin, which induces sleep.

This explains why a glass of warm milk is thought to help you get to sleep, as dairy products contain both tryptophan and calcium.

Master Formula – complete vitamin + mineral supplement with everything you need – prebiotic, antioxidants, and food-based nutriment… and 90-500% of the B vitamins you need for the day

Day 27

We talked about the benefits of epsom salt baths for detox, but it’s also amazing for SLEEP.

You see, stress drains the body of magnesium, and given that most of us are under chronic stress, our bodies are magnesium deficient. In fact, 68% of adults in the U.S. consume less than the recommended daily allowance of magnesium.

When Epsom salt is dissolved in warm water, the magnesium is absorbed through the skin to help replenish magnesium levels in the body. Magnesium helps promote a feeling of calm and relaxation. It also increases energy and reduces irritability. Epsom salt baths can help improve your sleep and concentration.

Okay wait… taking an epsom salt bath can reduce stress, make me feel calm, reduce irritability and improve my sleep? SIGN ME UP! I’m taking one every day!

So let’s talk about essential oils you can use in your epsom salt baths to boost your body’s ability to relax and get ready for sleep.

Just get 1 cup of epsom salts, add 1 tsp carrier oil, and add essential oils (reduce all ingredients and EOs by half if using for kids). Here are some oil combinations you can use…

5 drops Gentle Baby + 5 drops Lavender
5 drops Peace & Calming + 3 drops Northern Lights Black Spruce
5 drops Lavender + 3 drops Geranium
8 drops Stress Away
5 drops Lavender + 5 drops Cedarwood
5 drops Frankincense + 5 drops Stress Away
5 drops Raven + 2 drops PanAway (great for tired muscles)
5 drops Peace & Calming + 3 drops Orange

Day 28

Let’s do a week 4 check-in… how are you feeling?

• Do you have more energy?
• How’s your ?
• How’s your water intake?
• How’s your sleep?
• Are you sweating at least 3-4 times a week (sauna, epsom salt baths, exercise)?
• How are your sugar or food cravings?

You’re almost there! You can do it! All the hard work you’ve been putting in this month is paying off! One of the best things you can do is create a morning routine for yourself to keep this going even after the challenge is over…

A solid morning routine will set you up for success throughout the rest of your day. It will make you feel GREAT and ready to tackle the world. Spend a half an hour a day taking care of yourself and you will optimize your productivity all day long.

1. Make your bed
2. Drink a glass of water right when you wake up
3. Take a Lemon Juice and a Young Living NingXia Red Shot
4. Wash your face and brush your teeth
5. Take your Vitamins
6. Eat a balanced breakfast
7. Exercise or take a little time to move, stretch, foam roll, etc.
8. Pamper yourself (use a skin brush, take a bath, or exfoliate with a coffee skin scrub)
9. Take three deep breaths
10. Find gratitude in your life/journal

Day 29

What if I told you there’s a simple wellness trick that only takes 5 minutes a day, costs nothing, and helps to detox the body? Ready for it? It’s dry skin brushing.

So how does it work?

Your skin, the largest organ in the human body is an organ of elimination. One third of your body’s toxins are excreted through the skin and dry brushing helps to unclog pores and excrete toxins that become trapped in the skin.

1. Purchase a natural (not synthetic) bristle brush with a long handle so can reach all areas of your body.

2. Get naked and stand in a bathtub or tiled surface to catch the falling skin.

3. Begin brushing by starting at your feet and moving in long sweeping motions toward your heart. Always brush toward your heart.

4. Brush several times in each area, overlapping as you go.

5. Take care as you brush over more sensitive areas, like breasts. Your skin will become less sensitive the more you dry brush.

6. Once you’ve brushed your entire body, jump in the shower. (I like to alternate between the hottest water temperature I can tolerate and the coldest. This stimulates blood circulation, bringing more blood to the top layers of the skin.)

7. After getting out of the shower, pat dry skin and apply a natural fruit oil like rose hip or coconut oil… or even YL Lavender Body Lotion.

8. Continue to dry brush your entire body every day. Twice a day is recommended for best results. Remember to clean your brush with soap and water once a week. Leave to dry in a clean, sunny spot to avoid any mildew accumulation on your brush.

Try this for 30 days and see the results for yourself!

1. You’ll exfoliate dead skin.

Forget your in-shower loofah and body scrubs, this will ensure you have silky-smooth skin all year round!

2. It stimulates your lymphatic system.

Dry brushing your skin will kick start your lymphatic system, which helps you remove toxins from the body. The stiffer the bristles on the brush, the better the lymphatic stimulation you’ll create.

3. Dry brushing helps to reduce cellulite.

Cellulite is simply toxic materials that have accumulated in your body’s fat cells and are trapped, unable to be eliminated from the body.

Forget lipo, dry skin brushing helps to break down any trapped toxins from within the body and help your body eliminate them through its usual elimination channels.

4. It unclogs pores and de-congests skin.

Dry skin brushing unclogs your skins pores and helps your skin absorb more nutrients. Daily skin brushing promotes healthy, breathing skin. It’s a real treat for the largest organ in our bodies!

Day 30

Who wants to supercharge the detox process and get into weight management mode? There’s a really cool (and EASY) way to do it with essential oils. We call it the Slim + Fit protocol.

Make a weight management capsule with Vitality oils and take it morning and lunchtime (you might be able to go down to just once in the morning after a while) before meals AND drink water with a tbsp of apple cider vinegar twice a day.

That’s it! We’ve had so many people get happy to get on the scale with this Slim + Fit protocol. You don’t have to alter what you eat, but many found that this helped to curb hunger cravings.

And then use CEL-LITE Magic Massage Oil (#3035, $32.75 Wholesale) on those trouble spots, like thighs, butt, arms, and stomach.

2 drops Cinnamon Bark Vitality – #5585 – ($24.75 Wholesale)
2 drops Peppermint Vitality – #5628 – ($10.25 Wholesale)
2 drops Lemon Vitality – #5625 – ($6.25 Wholesale)
2 drops Black Pepper Vitality – #5617 – ($19.25 Wholesale)
2 drops Grapefruit Vitality – #5624 – ($7.75 Wholesale)
Clear Vegetable Capsules – #3193 – ($7.50 Wholesale)

Add an empty veggie capsule and top with carrier oil. If using solid coconut oil scoop the short side of the capsule into the carrier oil then close.

OR you could make it super simple… combine 60 drops of each oil in an empty 15ml bottle. Now use that one bottle to fill your capsules with 10 drops of oil blend. Top with carrier oil if desired or make separate capsules with just carrier oil (that’s what I do). Easy peasy. Done.

Yes. However, we wouldn’t recommend making over a weeks worth.
